While most models start from the top-down, this session offers effective ways to work from the body up to the brain to help children overcome challenging behaviors. Once you’re able to build capacities instead of assuming children have them…really good things happen!
Nervous System-Based Techniques for Behavioral Change, Part 2
Finally, you’ll master the top-down approaches that will help the child to fully grow and thrive. You’ll get critical insight into working with special populations, including children with trauma, ASD, and neurodiversity. You’ll also learn de-escalation strategies to use when behaviors get big and out of hand. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to focus on the relationship with the child instead of the behaviors.
